How long does a custom game take?
Within 24 hours of submitting your completed questionnaire. A real person reviews every game before it's sent, so it's usually faster, but never sloppy. If we need to check something with you, the 24 hours start again once you reply.
How long does the questionnaire take?
About 10 to 15 minutes, a little longer for the Double Feature. You can save it and come back. Bonus points if you fill it out with someone who has better gossip.
What do I need for the questionnaire?
- Petty Trivia: at least 3 people, 3 facts about each (15 in total), 3 inside jokes and 3 memorable moments.
- Petty Trivia Deluxe: the same, with 24 facts in total.
- Hearsay: at least 3 people and 10 quotes from at least 3 different people.
- Double Feature: everything for Petty Trivia plus the 10 quotes for Hearsay, in one questionnaire.
Tip for quotes: scroll back through your group chat, or start collecting them a week or two before the party.
Can I make it a surprise?
Yes. Fill out the questionnaire yourself, or send the link to a co-conspirator. Every custom game includes a printable reveal card to wrap or put in a stocking.
Do I need to print it?
Most games are designed to print at home on regular letter paper, with light ink coverage. Print the host's pages once, plus one answer sheet for each player or team. Hearsay quote cards are printed once and cut out. Many rounds also work on a TV or laptop screen.
How does the photo puzzle work?
After checkout, you upload your photo and pick the crop on our order page. We check the print preview by hand, then our print partner prints your puzzle (252 or 500 pieces) and ships it to you. We email you tracking as soon as it's on its way. For the sharpest result, use the original photo, not a screenshot.
When do I need to order for Christmas?
Know-It-Alls printables are instant downloads, so you can grab them anytime. For custom games to arrive before Christmas, submit your completed questionnaire by Dec 22.
How many players?
Each custom game is about 3 to 20 people you name in the questionnaire, and anyone who knows them can play. One person hosts and reads the questions. The scoreboard fits up to 9 players or teams, so up to 9 people can play solo, and bigger groups split into teams of 2 to 4. That covers up to about 36 players plus the host, in person or on a video call.
Will you include anything embarrassing?
Only what you tell us. We keep it playful. We'll edit out anything that reads as mean, private or hurtful, and we'll check with you if we're unsure.
What do you do with my answers and photos?
We use your answers, quotes and photos only to make your order. They're stored on our own game server, and we never sell or publish them. Your finished game is emailed to you through Brevo, our email delivery service. If you order a photo puzzle, your photo and shipping address go to Printify, our print partner, which prints and ships it. Shopify handles your order and payment but never sees your answers. We delete everything from our system 60 days after delivery, or 60 days after your order if it's never completed. Emails we've sent stay in your inbox, and Brevo and Printify keep their own records under their own policies. More details are in our privacy policy.
Can I get changes after my game arrives?
Yes. Reply to your delivery email within 14 days with a fix, like a misspelled name or a wrong answer, and we'll send a corrected copy.
What's your refund policy?
Changed your mind? Reply to your order email before you submit the questionnaire and we'll refund you in full. Once you submit it, we start building your game, so the order can no longer be cancelled or refunded. We'll always fix mistakes, though.
Know-It-Alls printables are instant downloads, so they can't be refunded once downloaded. If a file won't open or print, email us and we'll sort it out.
Photo puzzles are printed just for you. You can cancel for a full refund until you upload your photo. After that it goes to print and can't be returned, but if it arrives damaged or misprinted, email us a photo within 14 days and we'll replace it.
Do you sell outside the US?
Not yet. For this holiday season we're only taking orders from the United States.
